Professional solution for a brighter smile
Teeth whitening is a non-invasive cosmetic procedure designed to lighten the colour of natural teeth by removing surface stains and discolouration. It can improve the appearance of your smile and is most effective for extrinsic stains caused by common dietary and lifestyle factors, such as coffee, tea, red wine, tobacco, and natural ageing.

Is whitening right for you?
A dental consultation is recommended before beginning any whitening treatment. While whitening is generally safe for healthy teeth and gums, it may not be suitable for individuals with:
- Intrinsic staining (e.g., due to trauma or medication)
- Tooth-coloured restorations such as crowns, veneers, or fillings (as these will not whiten)
- Untreated cavities or gum disease
Your dentist will assess your oral health and advise on whether whitening is appropriate for you, or if other cosmetic options may be more effective.
Professional whitening options with Philips Zoom
In-chair whitening
This option is completed in a clinical setting by your dental professional:
- A whitening gel is applied to the teeth and activated using the Philips Zoom WhiteSpeed LED light.
- The treatment typically takes around 90 minutes (including preparation time).
- Results are noticeable immediately following the session.
- The formula contains desensitising agents to help reduce the risk of post-treatment sensitivity.

Take-home whitening
Custom trays are created to fit your teeth, and whitening is completed at home under the guidance of your dentist. Two types are available:
DayWhite
- Worn for 15–20 minutes, twice per day
- Typically achieves results within 1–2 weeks
- Suited for those who prefer shorter, daytime application sessions
NiteWhite
- Worn for 1–2 hours or overnight
- Also achieves results within 1–2 weeks
- Ideal for those who prefer evening or overnight use

Gentle whitening solution
Beyond aesthetic improvement, the whitening formula used in Philips Zoom includes ingredients that strengthen enamel and reduce sensitivity.
The process is minimally invasive and can be repeated periodically under professional supervision to maintain results over time.
